BJS042: So We Thought We Might Like To Go To The Show

Join me and my life-long friend "Def Jeff" Nemetz as we feast at Jake's Wayback Burgers, then head over to Arden Gild Hall in Arden, DE to see the lovely & talented Jill Knapp perform in a production of Pink Floyd's The Wall, directed by Joe Trainor. A whole slew of topics are discussed here - too many to name - but some of them include The Wall (duh!), The Wayback Machine, Davey & Goliath, Schmerltz vs. Poi, Jesus Vagina Chip, and much more!

BJS041: Holy Days

Listen as I spend Yom Kippur in Millerton, NY, working on the short film, "That's What She Told Me," about an artist who searches for her estranged father through the help of the apparition of Johnny Cash. Topics include not having cell service, celebrities that live in the area, Jacek's departure, Roberta Wallach, Eli Wallach, more about Wayne Reichert & my discussions about Quiet Riot & Slade - Stomp Your Hands, Clap Your Feet vs. Mama Weer All Crazee Now, Rosh Hashanah - the Jewish New Year - and the Law of Attraction, Rhonda Byrne's "The Power," Unitarian Universalism's Water Communion, definition of "holy" as "that which makes you whole," post-production for "The Jonestown Defense" funded through http://kickstarter.com, about to make a big pitch for "The Miracle Man."

Jacob's First Day of Kindergarten

After five and a half years, this monumental step has finally arrived! And how anti-climactic it was...

We walked over with our neighbors from across the hall - Jacob's friend Manny, his mother Annette & son Vincente. We got to the school, went where everyone was assembled in the playground area, found the sign for his class, barely met the teacher, who asked for his name and said, "Ok, let's go." A quick hug and he was gone! And that was it! And it's not like we were late or anything, they just went! Didn't get to meet the teacher, see his class, ask questions, nothing. Not what we were expecting...
